Mole ControlMoles are extraordinary creatures that can destroy lawns, golf courses and flowerbeds within hours. This can cause trip hazards and very uneven ground. There are two types of tunnels that a mole will make. The first one is a surface tunnel which they use to survey areas for potential food such as earthworms. Once they have found a good source of food in an area, they will dig deeper tunnels which cause the mole hills.
Moles work around the clock with a shift pattern of four hours digging and four hours resting. Even though moles live alone, other moles can live within near proximity if there is good food source. This does mean that it is possible to catch more than one mole over a period of time. The best method of mole control is by trapping but in extreme cases we can also offer gassing which fills the tunnel system. |
